Everything's Just So Peachy With This "Peachy Keen & Cream Smoothie

Hey guys, so y'all spoke and I listened...Several of y'all have made it pretty abundantly clear that you want me to showcase more non-alcohol-based drinks and well, truthfully, it was always part of the agenda guys! I never forgot about y'all! But I figured that NOW was the time, to debut some of these non-alcohol-based drinks before y'all really come for me haha!! And THUS, HERE WE ARE, where I bring you the first with my "Just Peachy-Keen & Cream Smoothie," inspired by my recent peach-picking adventure at Weed-Orchard Family Farms, in Marlboro, NY, and my feeble attempt to eat a more balanced, nutritional diet. Read on below for full recipes and some fun peachy trivia!

1.) Peaches are a great source of vitamins A and C. They are also a great alternative for a sweet treat and considered to be very weight-loss friendly, as they often range anywhere from only 60-70 calories for 1 large-size.

2.) Did ya know that August is National Peach Month?! I didn’t either!

3.) Anyhoo, at the farm I visited, we had the opportunity to pick peaches ANDDD nectarines, and so it sparked my curiosity with what the actual difference was between the 2, which brings me to fun fact number 3...Cause you know google got me allll the way together and said that It's the distinctly texturized, fleshy, peach fuzz skin that yields the primary difference. And it's purpose is protection from pesky bugs & pesticides, whereas nectarines are skinless. See, ya learn something new everyday!

4.) Now in efforts to minimize the use of too much sugar, I included bananas in this recipe for a more natural sweet taste element; The vanilla extract always enhances flavors in my opinion and I added a dash of nutmeg and almond extract because I was semi-surprised to find out Fun Fact number 4-And, it's that peaches are closely related to almonds! “I say semi-surprised because it then suddenly dawned on me OOOOH YEAHHHH..There's a whole almond nut found inside the pit of the peach! And so, my thought process with the nutmeg & almond extract was that it would help to bring out a slightly nutty flavor, which sounded pretty good to me!
