My "Sake To Me Maki Cocktail" Will Pair Perfectly With Your Next Sushi Fix!

So guys, if you're anything like me when it comes to food during the summer months, you like to keep things light & fresh to avoid hearty foods from weighing you down. And so, a few of my go-tos are usually lighter foods that pack a punch (!!!) like fresh salads, tacos, & sushi rolls! Which, got me intrigued on how Japanese restaurants often serve sushi rolls accompanied with sake bombs.

So I got to brainstorming on how I can approach sake with a fun twist! The results....I call this my Saké To Me Maki, which I believe will pair perfectly with your next sushi fix, but I could be slightly biased....?? Anyway, read-on to make this fun, unique drink!

"Sake To Me Maki" Cocktail

Fun Fact, did you know that the word "sake," in Japanese, means "alcoholic drink?" Did you also know it's actually pronounced saké ("sah-keh"), but for the sake of this blog post and what is more commonly used, we'll stick to "sake" for now. Now, as for maki...It is "a type of sushi made from wrapping sushi rice and other ingredients in a sheet of seaweed." Just another fun fact to impress your date on your next sushi outing!
