I was so estatic to see that our initial "5 Awesome Ways To Make Your Wedding Fun!" Part 1 was such a huge hit amongst engaged couples that I decided to write a Part 2! You're probably reading this cause you either want to add a fun, unique, element to spice up your wedding, or you don't want your wedding to be a snooze fest, or you're just doing your research, or all of the above! Whatever your reasoning, take these 5 ways as straight inspiration, and be sure to act on what resonates with you, as a couple, the most! Remember what I always say....Who wedding? Oh that's right...YOUR WEDDING!
1.) Destination Wedding
1.) Yes, turning your wedding into an exciting destination wedding is definitely an easy way to instantly make it fun! I mean there are lots of people who love to travel and when you make the reasoning be for such a momentous occasion such as a wedding...?! Well it's like a win-win situation. And, I go more into this in my blog titled "Is a Destination Wedding Right For You?" So make sure to check it out if this is something you're interested in or you've been contemplating.
2.) Non-Traditional Venue
Warren G. Venus said it best, "There are two ways of being creative. One can sing and dance. Or one can create an environment in which singers and dancers flourish." If that sounds a bit familiar to you, it's the quote you may have seen on my site's home page, and the reason I chose it is because it is the best metaphorical narrative of my company and our main mission. It is also a philosophy that I live by because different places, more specifically, different venues yield different vibes. Therefore if your venue is a museum, or a boat, or a barn, each one of the venues is going to be what sets the foundation for how you design it and carry out the festivities throughout the day. Oh and not to mention that magical ambiance that the venue will give off! Maybe you'll photograph with horses if you're at a barn or hold a ceremony next to a T-Rex at a museum. Whatever you do, it's more exciting when you break the mold and decide to do something different from the norm!
3.) Mobile Photo Booth
I had to add this to the list because I was catching flack from some of my friendors from my initial part 1 blog post (haha!!). But in all seriousness, yes, photo booths definitely make your wedding more fun! I mean how many of us did photo booths with our friends growing up and remember how fun that was?! These have become an extremely popular option for adding fun and entertainment to weddings. Plus you have records of all those image clips to treasure the memories (I still have mine from my college days!!), so you can't go wrong with this idea!
4.) Fun Theme
If you've been following me for a while then you KNOW I live for a fun theme! I love it when a couple takes their wedding as an opportunity to have fun by doing a unique and classy theme like vintage Hollywood glam, or Kentucky Derby with festive hats, the Great Gatsby, Regal Royalty, or even Goth Glam. Whatever style you choose, make sure that you carry out the theme in everything you do (i.e. the invitations, cocktails, the food menus, etc.). You'll also want to make sure that you communicate the theme well with your guests because guest attire that aligns with your theme is a quintessential part of pulling the whole entire event look together. Lastly, you want to make sure that you curate the theme carefully, because it is quite easy for it to err on the side of tacky if it is not done meticulously. And if this is an area you're stuck on then make sure to contact me to help faciliate!
5.) Micro-Wedding
Ahh micro-weddings! The newest wedding industry phenomena! Not only have micro-weddings become a hot new trend, but they can be extremely fun since the couple has a smaller guest list to entertain, which leaves more room for mingling with their guests, games, and fun activities. For example, maybe you have a portion of the wedding where you guys gather around a campfire with warm, fuzzy blankets, and roasts s'mores (Yes, I've totally had clients that did this very thing with an acoustic guitarist...Talk about vibes!!!), or maybe you might have 3 different food trucks (pizza, tacos, & BBQ). Whatever the case maybe, micro-weddings allow for more room in the budget to do more fun activities.
